So, I think I have start-itis. I have 3 projects going at the moment, the Central Park Hoodie, an entrelac scarf, and a cabled scarf for a friend at work, yet I want to start the lace-ribbon scarf, and the wavey eyelet scarf. I’ve convinced myself that it’s ok to have all these projects going at once, that way, I won’t ‘stash’ the yarn too long, I won’t forget about it, and I won’t go and buy more yarn. I can’t say that any of the above are true, aside from not stashing it. If it’s on needles, I will eventually finish it. I must be honest with myself, I will probably start one of the above this weekend, especially if I’m not doing anything. I get excited thinking about what the un-started projects are going to look like with the yarn that I have set aside for it. How or what I’m going to wear it with.
The problem with start-itis, is that I’ll eventually feel like I have too much going, and I’ll want to finish everything on needles immediately, which is impossible. So then knitting will feel like a chore because I am just trying to get done rather than an enjoyment. I’m a little hard-headed though, so I’ll probably end up starting anyway.
