So my bff holds a knitting program on Thursdays at the library. And in the beginning, you would go there, and knit. Maybe have a little snack like some cookies, and chips and a drink. But you were really there, to knit. Well, lately, I think it should be called the good eating program. We show up, and there’s a feast. In face, last night, a little boy saw all the food, and said, “I need to learn how to knit so I can have me a feast.” Seriously, I ate way more than I knit. I don’t know if I’m ever going to get my knitting swagger back, it’s not looking good for me. I’m trying though, I really am…
Dear Knitting… April 16, 2009
I’ve been cheating on you. I always have good intentions, but my new interest has taken over. I’ve been working out. I know it shouldn’t take up all of my time, but for some reason it has been. Take yesterday for instance, I got off of work, ate a sub (very delicious too), went to play volleyball (for and hour and a half), went to lift weights, and ran a mile. By the time I got home, it was after 9. I straightened some things up around the house, showered, and by then it was almost 11. So you see, there was just no time in there to knit. All of my days lately have been similar. I promise, anytime I sit down and watch TV (alone), I always pick you up.
I promise to dedicate some time to you this weekend. Not all day on any given day, but at least a couple of hours.
I really want to lose weight, so I’m sure you understand why I’ve put you on the back burner. Please know that I will NEVER let you go completely!
